The eportfolio project is a project from my Writing Class (York University WRIT 2201) where a portfolio is made for all the projects done in this class. Each student of the class will reflect and go over all the projects of the class and think about what they did, the challenges they faced along with all the things they have learned throughout the projects. Once all these questions have been answered, all this information will be compiled into a document or a website as a portfolio.
When creating the portfolio, I had to write a lot about my past works and in order to keep that organized, I used proper page formatting. By doing this, I have learned how to effectively format my drafts and documents to keep things in order. Since there is a lot of information for my portfolio, by using proper headers along with point form in certain areas, it has really helped me organize my work into easy-to-read sections and helped me keep track of all my work.
While working on my eportfolio, there was a major challenge that I faced, which was trying to write down everything that I have done in a way that a person that did not take my course would understand. When drafting this portfolio, there were some sections that I had to really take a step back and think about how I can word it so someone who has never taken this class would understand it. In order to overcome this challenge, I took on the mindset of someone who did not take this course and would constantly ask myself if this is knowledge I would have if I never took this course. By doing so, this allow me to ensure that everything I wrote could be easy to understand by someone who did not take WRIT2201.
When creating my portfolio, I noticed while I did remember the highlights and key points of my projects, there were some things that were blurry in my mind. If I updated my portfolio right after finishing a project, it would be much more detailed, while still being critical and easier to write about as the project is fresh in my mind.
